🔵 To create a new Handin assessment:
👉 Click into the Journey tab
👉 Click into the Assignments tab
👉 Select 'New assignment'
👉 Select the space where the assessment will live
👉 Select Handin from the "Tool" dropdown
👉 Input the title, open/close and grade release dates and whether you want the assessment hidden from students or not
🔵 Share the assessments with students
Students will then be able to access the assessment through their Journey tabs, so long as you've made the assessment visible.
Additionally, you can add the assessment link into your materials or the Community. You can do this by clicking on the green plus sign and selecting the assessment. Note - students will only be able to access this if you've made the assessment visible.
🔵 Change the settings after creating the assessment
👉 Click on the three horizontal dots next to the assessment
🔵 Add extra information on Handin
You can add extra information into your Handin assessments, including free text, files and voice notes. You need to
👉 Click into the Handin assessment
👉 Select 'edit assignment'
👉 Select the 'description' tab
🔵 Create a group assignment
To work with group assignments, you need to access Aula via the internet and not app.
Step 1: Create the groups
A. Click into ‘space settings’ → the ‘groups’ tab → ‘+ New set of groups’
B. Name the set (this is a collection of groups) and choose whether to hide it from students by ticking ‘hide set’
C. You have two choices:
- ‘Auto-generate groups’, where you choose the number of students in each group and they are randomly grouped
- ‘+Add new group to set’, where you can assign specific students to groups
