Please note - your university must already have an account with BigBlueButton in order for this integration to work properly. Please contact us with any additional questions on how to get BigBlueButton at your university

BigBlueButton is a video conferencing tool for synchronous communication.

It provides real-time sharing of audio, video, slides, chat, and screen. You can also split students into smaller breakout groups.

Each module on the Aula space has its own BigBlueButton room, which everyone who is enrolled on the module can access.

You can access BigBlueButton by adding a link to a BigBlueButton video call to your Materials or Feed. You need to:
      a. Left click on an empty space in Aula
      b. Click on the green plus sign which appears
      c. Select 'BigBlueButton' from the dropdown

Recording Your Session

We now have the option to record BigBlueButton sessions. When you click on the BBB integration from Aula, you'll first be taken to this page where you can edit the room settings -

Please just ensure the bottom box "Sessions may be recorded" is checked, and from there, you'll see the "Start Recording" option at the top of your BBB screen.

Here is a link to the Big Blue Button website, where you can find tips and advice on how to best set your Big Blue Button up.

Note: If you're using Safari, make sure you accept the pop-up.

Note: once you're in a meeting, you can't copy and paste the link to add people into that meeting. That link is just for you. For other people to get into the meeting, they need to join via the shared BBB link for that space.
