Why?

Create a culture of shared knowledge, provide all students with access to all relevant information, and save time by avoiding answering questions multiple times.

How?

Step 1:

If a student asks you a question (email, in-class, Direct Messages, etc.) relevant to everyone, ask them if they would be okay with posing it in the Class Feed instead. Remember to explain that this is to ensure that everyone can benefit from the answer.

Please note that we are not recommending a general policy of asking questions only via the Class Feed. Clearly, private student-educator conversation via Direct Messages, by phone or in person is often very important.

Story

Aula educators that have tried this technique report substantial time savings, fewer gaps in student knowledge, and a culture where students feel more empowered to share.
